Teaching Blogs
Roughly since 2004 I moved toward using blogs for my classes rather than web syllabi and proprietary academic teaching space software. Blogger in particular
I found especially easy to use and friendly for students to use for the first time too. Blogger was more fun for me, and usually more fun for the students. That
blogs are more public has its good sides and risky sides. So far it's been worth it for me and, according to the students, for them.
The university is about to shift to a content management system I am told will make doing all this both more simple and perhaps more sophisticated. So
current changes in my website are all short term fixex until that new system is set into place.
