Ana M. Perez

Ana M. Perez is a doctoral student in the department in Women's Studies.  She earned a M.A. in Women's Studies from the University of Maryland (2007), a B.A. in Women's Studies from the University of South Florida (2004) with a certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Her research interests are in Chicana feminist theory, postcolonial studies, and Latino and Latin American studies specifically looking at the constructions and representations of mestizaje in Mexico and U.S. She is currently working on a project comparing U.S-European and Spanish-Mexican racial formations.
